She felt bad that he seemed to be lost and some how out of place listening to him she sighed. "I understand and we promise that you won't be stuck here today we are working to get you off this side of the bay and I'm going to see if anything happen last night"
She didn't want to comfort him with touch like she might normally with a victim or witness. Mostly because her lover was there but also because he might feel pitied or cajoled and that wasn't her intention. He seemed so individual and in need of the facade of strength.

"Directly?" Samel asked. He knew the bear was strong metaphysically. Emotionally he wasn't sure especially as what was coming was by definition monstrois actions. If he hadn't been born to it he would think it much.
So he minced words without lying."We are going to apply escalating pressure to the silver moons. We will drive them out or drive them honest. Once they are weakened or embattled enough to be focused on other things you will return home. Once home we will make a show that it is more than you and the other fourteen bears in the city against them. They will have no choice but to respect your strength and claim."
What he didnt say was he and the lions that Hiwro would send would hunt their leaders and kill evry last one that didn't turn themselves in to the authorities. He didn't say that he would use them as bait and find all of their allies and destroy them piece by piece. That he didnt say he wouldn't perjure Monica by having her hear the whole of the plan. He also wouldn't say that in doing so he would be placing his stance as militis at risk or the fallout that might come.

She tried to comfort him but he just smiled then they were being vague even the lion who he'd thought would be straight with him. So he folded his nervous away like a package. Putting on happy bear dancing bear." Grand..well then what ever ye need just let me know when ya need me to come back and beat my chest. The other bears are, aware of whats going on and while they are a little angry they're by default dragged into this they also agree the drugs must stop. I have their support"
Eating and sipping his, tea" so now that we chatted I'll leave ye te dress and just snag me when we roll out of here then I've got some flower orders to re route since they canae deliver to the shop"
Eye twitched at the corner talking bout the shop but he was on his feet and walking towards the exit so they couldn't stop him. He didn't want to dwell and needed to have at least a few minutes to process it or he'd shift wreck the suite and run off into the woods of central park to hide.

Monica sighed men confused her. She watched both and she knew Samuel was leaving things out but she knew why. Aprecative because she knew what side of the law he was on at times to get things done and she was supposed to represent the law but she knew better. She knew that with the community she policed human laws didn't always have a place or get anything acomplished.
When he smiled made his excuses and left she waited then looked to Samuel with a what are you gonna do shrug." I don't think he's totally ok"
That was said so only he would hear her.she didn't know what else to do.

Samuel sighed it was more of a growl of annoyance which fit his inner self and was the only warning the situation would ever have. No the bear was not alright. It was obvious that one misstep now and he would go trundling back through the situation and make matters far more difficult as it was they were facing a war and while his strength could be bent to their common goal Samuel had to be honest with himself. He didn’t trust that the Bear in him wouldn’t stop fighting once the wolves were routed form his immediate vicinity. By that point the real fight would be begun. The Silver moons were a large pack of rogues while they lacked the standing that the Lunar Blood Pack had they the moons were far more vicious and had more access to street level crime and networks. They in short were as New York as rats fighting over pizza. It meant they had dug in and this foray into the drug game didn’t speak well of things they were being backed by someones else. They were also at the head of one of the oldest networks of gangs in the whole of Brooklyn.
" No he is not and while it would be good having him and his Sleuth actually in the fight… It might be a mistake. He is an outed Lycanthrope. It means we can’t take the chance of having him beside any of the others including his own Sleuth as most of them are not outed either. We can’t use him as the tip of the spear as even riled up he didn’t resort to extreme measures when he attacked. Simply put we need to have the resources of the law help him which means he is unfortunately out of this phase of the operation."
He stood and moved to the window taking in the view as his mind did mental gymnastics of finding a way to keep Erick engaged and yet safe from making matters easy for their enemies and harder for them. He chuckled as he looked at the billboards down below.
Turning over the nut of them and Erick he hit upon an idea.
“Can you take him to station with you I will have a car sent for him. I will also arrange a little press conference. Provided you can get him to swear on his honor to stick to the script.” If so they wouldn’t have to send him form the area to protect him he would be protected by turning his status as a known lycanthrope into a weapon against the Silver Moons. Doing so they would have to resort to using their outed members and their non-lycanthrope allies. It would tie them up just long enough for Samuel to get things moving by applying pressure from the shadows and close the circle as tightly as Hannibal would.

Monica slow blinked" you want me to take the man I promised we wouldn't take to the station and put in line of potentially being given locked up to the station..Samuel I might as well take him to riders supernatural paddock and l8ck him in my self..have you been to that place?"
She pushed her food away and shuddered " we treat people like you and him worse than serial rapists when locked up and if I hate anything about this job it's that..she stood. Do you really think the plan would work better yes if we could make him to visible it would mess them up but I can't be the one who caused him to be locked away if my bosses see a threat and not a boon so it better be a damn good script ..none of that dude where's my car"

He knew he was asking a lot. No he was asking for a miracle. He needed people to be people to see the them versus us and embrace Erick as one of ‘Us’ instead of one of ‘them’. " In a word yes. But not to arrest him to take his statement. He is a known recognized lycanthrope. He was defending the general public. He saw lycanthropes involved with a criminal venture and attempted to initiate a citizen’s arrest. In the process he was wounded driven from his home and threatened. He is a hero. At least he will be once we have him attacked at the precinct. It will draw a little heat for the other wolves of the city as we can’t name the Pack by name at least not as a pack. As a gang they are a known entity. So are a lot of the clans of the city. The gang in question the Silver Moons we get to look as bad as possible because this nonnative new Yorker was willing to put himself on the line to save his neighborhood. He was willing to bear this cross alone."
Yes, it was safer to hide him away and rain hell down on them. But if they were not alone in persecuting the Silver moons it would make it easier to hide their actions. And easier to drive them into the arms of their allies. It was definitively a larger risk but one they had to at least consider. “This is riskier up front but safer in the killing stroke. The choice however comes down to Erick would he rather be bait and stay in his home or hide until the heavy lifting is done. Either way we will have to end the Ulfric of the Moons and make him his alphas and their associates disappear. This way he gets home turf advantage and the protection of the public.”

She listened and scrubbed at her face then nodding she took time to shower and dress but in 20 minutes stood in front of him dressed for work and " ok I'll go convince him this is best and take him in if he agrees and drop him at the airport to cali if he doesn't..he said he'd go there on our way here last night if you had said no to helping him" . Deep breath she kissed him not good bye they didn't do that. She kissed him as a tide over till later that's what they called them. Tide over kisses. Down the hall and the door was knocked on. When he answered in she went.

He'd packed paced had more tea fixed orders broke news to clients who had seen the " break in" on the news. The wolves gad trashed his place terribly and he'd near broke right then.
The door was knocked on he smelled her freshly washed but still faintly like gun oil and her lion. Opening it he stepped back. She came in and he knew something in planning was changed and he had a feeling he might hate this. When the detective explained he'd stared blank for a while then laughed but odly enough they were right. He'd seen his place on the news and didn't want to hide he wanted to kick then where it hurt.
She gave him the words given her by Samuel this would be the bears best performance. He even changed into a crisp white shirt knowing that the wound he'd gotten in the shoot out was healing slow. Looking every bit the sweetnatured caring non threat do gooder." Let's do this"
And checked out and to the car and station they went.

Samuel looked at the clock after he kissed her to tide them over. He had time for a Spartan shower and two calls before he had to alert Mouse and call in the favor he’d put off long enough. So AS Monica closed the door behind him he juggled the order of things. Calling Abel he had him arrange a run in at the police station. Using several cutouts he had six former Silver Moon gang members before they were taken over by the pack flying colors attack Erick. They wouldn’t be successful as many cops were there and the contract was to brace not kill.
So they’d be doubly reviled and their family would receive checks for the next three years based on their success in causing a scene. The second call was to a few sleazy reporters he knew that always went with the sensational no matter how true. It would expand the exposure to the nth degree. It would even become clickbait for a time. Lastly looking at the notion of showering he sighed and called Mouse.
“Well Mouse I believe I will need your people and a sizable loan of liquid capital. The capital can be wire transferred into these accounts …” He read off the routing numbers from memory. Listening to his brothers reply and setting a time to pick up his people from LaGuardia he didn’t think on how easily he’d agreed. His mind was turning over the nut of waging this war on so many fronts. Mouse’s people would be the stiletto slipped between the ribs of his enemies. Judging by the timetable for the arrival of the Abstract lions he had five hours to push things in the right direction.
Then things would descend into blood and screams.
