" less hope so it's an ugly thing that ..drug is pure death. I flushed what ever I got my hands on when I roughed the dealers up"
He tried to be light hearted but locking up he was a small bit worried he'd come back to nothing. Squeezed in the back of the car he heard the mirth in the woman's voice and was curious but said nothing. Listening only partially to their planning and glad to be out of the one car when theyou got to the lot.
Putting his things in the detectives car he waited for them to finish up. Sitting on the passengers side. She cared for her partner a bit he could tell but the lion she smelled like they had been very close. It was layered. Interesting information indeed.

Matt reluctantly left though in truth he doubled back to the store he would sit on it for a while and watch what might happen. He didn’t mind plus he wanted to see the neighborhood a little closer. The florist was in a great location for foot traffic even as late as it was there was lots of movement especially for such as it was an overall quiet area.
He eased down in his seat and prepared to get little or no rest for his rampant thoughts when he spotted not one but three men begin casing the shop. It wasn’t obvious initially but as they circled the block twice and ecach time stopped to talk he knew that they were up to no good.

She was glad he didn't want to argue she didn't have time. Getting in she smiled to Erick and pulled off she texted Samuel and headed to the meeting place for breakfast but she made sure to text "so we will need extra food for breakfast just fair warning"
When she parked and got out she noticed that he wants here just yet and that made her fidgety. Finding their spot she sat motioning to the other to sit. " my abuela said the last bouquet you made her hadaughter all the ladies in her dominoes games jealous they think she's dating the old man from down the block"
She laughed softly.

He watched her then followed her in sitting where she motioned and trusting she knew what she was doing. Listening to her he laughed low rumbling " glad I could maek her the envy of her friends can't wait ta get back to work when this is all done"
He didn't doubt he'd live to see it but hoped there wouldn't be a trip to the lock up in between they all knew supernaturals who went in hardly if ever got out.

He was not feeling the best considering his most recent conversation and chose to not stew on it even as it made him far later than should be. He hated tardiness despised it even more in himself and so was not in the best of moods. He arrived speaking hurriedly with Abel. Things were moving a little quicker now that they had a definitive plan in the large scope in the works. AS of that moment thay had already purchased contracts and noncompete bonds form most of the smaller fleets that operated out of LaGuardia as well as the docks proper. The larger companies that would partner with whomever would require more readily available capitol than he had.
He could leverage himself but he would never risk the Exauda as a whole in such a gambit. Greater good be damned his people needed to eat as well. Hence where Mouse would come in. 3C the former Banks-Walker Consortium was a major player and had more liquid capitol than they could spend in the next three lifetimes. He would need to speak with his brother in person but he was sure that before he was done he would have what he needed.
Even so it bothered him having to ask. Yet ask he would. So head only six moves ahead he moved into their café as he thought of the place. He knew she was with company and was not overly troubled much as Abel had informed him it was not her partner. That meant something else and that he could deal with. Her partner not so much. If it came to outing what she was in his life to her partner things would have to be far more deadly than the stakes they were playing at. All the same he triggered the jammer as he entered. It was a small device and wouldn’t shut down the whole restaurant but it would cause a bubble of cellular interference around them up to sixty feet though some of the effects reached farther.
Wasting no time he went to her greeting her first with a kiss and sliding in next to her before greeting the Ursus. It was a show of where he stood as well as what was most important to him. He knew that even if the male missed it his inner beast would know. AS respect was earned he apologized first. Before any real introductions need be made.’
“Mister Kelly I am sorry that I hadn’t time to return your call. I was attacking the matter from a different avenue. It is a pleasure to finally meet you.”

Monica watched him come in and his kiss belied the beast. She watch his lion puff it's chest and the bear head tilted but flop unordered. That had her near fall over laughing. He leaned down to kiss her and she smiled to his mouth. Chaste but welcoming and head on his shoulder.
She looked at erick and nodded this was why she'd come to him this is how she knew it would be rough but ok. She trusted Samuel with her life so she could hold others lives in her hands. Listening to the greeting she'd let them chest beat for a while.
Ordering her self a cherry cola float while she waited for the fooday choices.

He felt him first her lion then he saw him and erick was gobsmacked low and behold it was the elusive Mr banks himself his beast felt different massive primal but his bear like most things was fairly unbothered.
" Mr Kelly was my da just erick please..and I get that your a busy man that you have many things going on..I probably mucked it all up with my actions today but I couldna let it pass. Yer detective here said ye might be able to help me be scarce till the right time?"
Pausing as she ordered her drink he ordered a iced raspberry tea with a jar of honey to sweeten it. Wondering if they had salmon of some sort.

He smiled at the simplification of Monica as ‘His Detective’ it suited his ears almost as much as Erick offering a hey man I get it. It was good they wouldn’t have to do any chest beating or measuring to have an understanding. He knew the Sleuth as a whole were fairly set in their ways. Constancy was a big thing for them. Almost as much as stubbornness was for lions.
" Well,” He intoned looking to Monica. “I can arrange most things directly. It would help planning if I knew whom I was making you scarce of?” He hadn’t heard as his network had been busy unleashing financial hell and setting the wagons to circle. He was sure that he would hear the news as the streets were always watching yet as they had a moment now was the time to brought into the loop of what Erick had done to need asylum of any sorts. Sad to say while he would never deny Monica anything somethings would be better handled from a distance.
He only hoped that those looking for Erick didn’t have a long reach it would mean fighting a war on two fronts. He hated doing it but dislike was no statement of ability and sadly no statement of success.

Monica relaxed realizing she'd been worried they wouldn't reach an accord but it seemed ok mostly. She looked at him leaned in whispering to him not that erick wouldn't hear but to keep others from it" Well it seems the silver moons were planning on stepping into the drug trade and Our friend the Ursa um..kinda freight trained their meeting with the other gangs things turned into a shoot out amongst them painting targets on the moons and his back and quite a lot of the seemingly last of the v scattered on the floor"
She sat back looking at him waiting for him to put it together. The human thugs weren't a real issue they could be corralled and shut down easy it was the moons she worried over.

Erick smiled hearing her explain it he really had been a right idiot but it was for a good cause" so now you know who most of the rest of the sleuth are low key or closeted so hard to pin down. I'm the only outed one because of your governments penchant for triplicates"
He was hopeful but not dependant if Samuel said no he could disappear into the woods of cali for weeks and even wolves wouldn't find him plus he was friendly with the local pack.

He smiled as Monica relayed the news of what had taken place. He nodded and ordered his usual espresso. As he awaited its arrival he considered how best to proceed. There was a decidedly political aspect which he was sure that Erick had not informed Monica of. It meant standing with him that the Silver Moons and their allies would be their enemies. Which was fine as things went they were not the largest or strongest pack in the city. In fact if they could let it be known that the pack had their noses tweaked by one singular Sleuth it might bring them allies. He knew the Lunar Blood out of Manhattan had joined with the Master of the city and driven some of the less organized and troublesome packs out of the city proper.
They were by far the best allies to have in the city currently and it would prove a win they could actually enjoy. He liked it but the dissemination of information had to be controlled. It had to be used in just the right way. He knew of one way but it would require Monica and he to discuss things as well as perhaps a bit of quiet manipulation on her part.
As such he wasn’t decided to truly proceed down that path. Placing it on a back burner mentally he thanked the waitress for helping and asked for a few more moments. " That is a nice bit of work even if as you say it was a bit mucked up. Looks as if we will unmuck things together. I know the perfect residence for you without having you too far just in case you might be needed."
It wasn’t too far though it might not be to his liking. In the end no one liked New Jersey even those who were born and bred there. Yet it was close enough so as to keep him in contact with his Sleuth and far enough that if the Silver Moons were foolish enough to attempt to reach him it would cause problems.
He knew for a fact that GiGi would personally skin anyone and everyone that would dare harm a friend of his. As such he would need to reach out to the Nimir and insure that Erick was not only expected but would be set up with a secure location as well as a shadow. He could arrange a shadow but would prefer someone local that wouldn’t standout or draw attention. Competency was key as well as having more than an operational lay of the land. Sipping his espresso, he looked form Monica to Erick and back, " I’m ready to begin if we all are; I think I will start with a few eggs benedict."

Watching him and then hugging his arm like a child promised a new car or fancy phone. He was helping her so much she could focus knowing g the bear would be safe. A focused her was dangerous for bad guys. She nodded and ordered the wholy cow breakfast burrito it was massive could feed two people stuffed with eggs ,beans, bacon, beef, salsa ,hash browns, green chile, cheese, peppers and onions. Another cherry float to wash it down.
She was little but as Samuel and gates and Matt had found out she could eat. The amount of activity she was part if in one day almost needed that amount of food though. The waitress nearly choked on her gum.

"Aye good on ye then what ever ye need"
Watching them was interesting entertainment almost comical. He loved love stories and theirs seemed like it might be movie worthy. Waiting for them to order his jaw near dropped looking at the detective. She was such a wee thing where did it all go? Then he rembered Camila back in cali one of the first other bear he met. She was no more than hundred ten pounds and five foot even buthough after shifting back human on the full moon she'd eat a 30 Oz steak on her own with sides.
He ordered 4 salmon cakes 3 eggs soft poched and rye toast. " to new allies and interesting adventures"

Matt slid his phone from his holster and dialed the screen light all the way down as quickly as he was able then fired off a text to Monica.
‘Hope the wrecking crew is safe and secure. We got three guys casing his shop already.’
Hitting send he reholstered his phone and drew his service. It was not in the job description to make himself a target but in the end he was torn between interceding or avenging. Neither would be a good way to continue the investigation he needed them to actually commit a crime before he could do anything. But if he did then he would feel pretty shitty. He knew that Erick had very few places to call home and this was his everything. He’d lost his country; now was losing his neighborhood to gangs and drugs. It was enough to make Matt want to flip tables and wreck shop for him.
Counting ten he slowed his breathing continuing to watch and wait. Hitting on an idea he radioed in suspicious activity. It would send a blue and white their way hopefully in time to catch the would be perps in the act of at least criminal mischief.

Samuel raised his cup as he knew it was poor Irish manners to not drink behind a toast. The espresso was hot even for him and yet he downed it in one gulp. enjoying the burn somehow.
"What I think we will need is to get you uptown to my neck of the woods and have you stay at the Mandarin. Exauda has a standing reservation we can use. Before you think we'll just abandon you My detective and I will be just down the hall from you. We'll stay until Ms. D'amico gets back to me in terms of your being a guest in her city. It shouldn't be a problem on any front as the population of 'Your' brethren is small enough there as to not step on anyones toes." The last was a coded but not an overly so reference that he was an Ursus level bear visiting unannounced and that could be grounds for a less than pleasant interrogation.
As Monica was leaning against him he felt her phone vibrate through her. He looked at the clock over the counter. It was never a good thing when she was called this late at night and early in the day. He did a quick count of the time no the rogue lions he and the Regina disposed of would not be found this soon. They had to be found and so the scene was left as a warning to those that would dare. Haverstaw was too close and an example had to be made.
