Samuel didn’t sigh but he thought of several harmless but mean spirited actions to take against his Detectives partner. It was a childish few thoughts but he enjoyed them all the same. Relished them actually. Luckily he was only ever childish in his head. Bouncing from foot to foot as he worked the bag he stopped as he caught sound of the one fact that could actually be used. The Luna’s Ursus was known and an outed lycanthrope. That meant he would be able to found easily by the Silver Moons. Things needed to be expedited which meant he’d have to involve others. The logistics would be hellish and costly but it was time to rally the troops as it were.
" He does have impeccable timing doesn’t he." Samuel said as close to a joke as he would ever come on the matter. Holding her a few seconds longer as she kissed him with a feeling that could easily cause her to be a few minutes or hours late to meet her partner. He relinquished his hold on her reluctantly nodding at what she communicated.
He wanted to say so very much but some secrets weren’t his to share. "Call me. There are a few threads we need to tie before the Brooklyn pack goes looking for retribution. At the very least I will meet you for breakfast after… Be safe."
He would watch her leave then shower and make calls to start the ball rolling. He needed to call his Brother first as a precursor. Mouse was a big hearted fool but he could be downright savage when needed.

Matt knew better than to ask where she was. She had opened up a lot since the conference but there was still a lot she kept to herself. Namely where she went when she fell off the grid. He when asked as he had been several times only said she was working her contacts and sources. He didn’t know for sure she could have been getting pedicures or maybe a seaweed wrap but as her partner she had her back. It was what partners did. It was hard as he was sure it was hard on her when he went cowboy.
Sighing he went to his locker and changed his gear so that he would look the part of a detective and not that of the thug he was dressed as. He was no less cop but it would help he thought. The man was huge and if he twitched it would be easier to explain if he had to drop him. Of course he hoped it didn’t get that far but he had been on the receiving end of too many charging lycanthropes to not think of the Brass Verdict.
He paused as the news was preempted with a live report from LA. He could not believe the news he was hearing. California led the way on a lot of things but the first vampire Mayor was an absolute slobber knocker

She nodded and headed out hating to have to leave but this was needed she knew she smelled like Samuel but didn't know how to fix it fast also hoped it would help. She got in the car and drove the distance to the lot. Waiting for him to pull up.
When he got there she got in with him and she pointed out the shop which was closed for the evening but there was a light on in the upstairs space. She range the bell and looked around.waiting for anything.

He'd closed for the night and was trying to plot his next move he wasn't stupid and knew that the wolves would come for him. He wouldn't run but he didn't want a shop full of innocents when they showed. He was pacing when the door rang downstairs. Didn't they read he was closed.
Carefully he peeked out and saw a familiar face one of his almost regular customers Monica he believed her name was. Catching flash of the badge he groaned he forgot she was a cop and face palming he'd been a right idiot. He went down and sighed opening the door" I messed up right? Come in and bring yer partner"
Stepping back to let them in he locked it behind them. Flipping on a rear light letting them look around. Just cases and unbloomed and fresh bloomed flowers in all colors.

Still not really believing that the idiots of LALA land would allow that to take place and not sure he liked the idea as it wouldn’t belong before others were mimicking the new Mayor. He sighed as he drove to the lot picking up Moni. When they arrived the gentle giant act was really convincing if he hadn’t seen the man in full bore he wouldn’t have thought that he was the same man. The table alone weighed at least seventy pounds and he threw it as if he were a kid throwing their legos around.
Moni was running point he didn’t mind it was clear he was to be the bad cop on this one. So he didn’t smile just gave blank face. Looking around at the lack of space he knew there wouldn’t be but one outcome if things escalated. So he zenned himself out and followed. Offering a bit of a prequel by answering the mans statement with the ominous, “Maybe.”

Showered and in fresh garments Samuel looked at his phone as if it were a snake and would bite him a sour taste in his mouth. He hated asking for help was not fond of it and truly didn’t know how. So when presented with a bad option he did what he always did dived right in.
Dialing the number he usually reserved for twice a year calls he dialed and as the other line was connected he began speaking.
“I may need you and your Abstrahimus. I haven’t worked all of the details just yet but I may need your manpower. Is your group available short notice?”

Sighing softly she looked between them both" look I get it you don't want that garbage here and felt like you were helping but hun you've placed a huge target on your back and the wolves aren't gonna ring your bell. They are gonna spray your shop with silver and if you make it out rip you to shreds did you not think about that?"
She gave him her" I want to understand make me understand "face. He really was a sweet as far as she knew but she could tell he had the potential for destruction but he was very self contained in aura even now his other had her laughing. The large green and brown earthy aura shaped like a grizzly was playing with its feet and looking goofy.

He eyed the male and had a moment of just wanting to paw his head off his shoulders but the detective was being kind." I know should a thought it through but the five groups meeting when was tha ever gon happen again.? I figured if I could scare um enough or hurt one enough dey would back off na sell any more roun here..stupid huh?"
He knew he'd messed up but he'd have to deal with it now." So yeah takin me in or nae I got a couple funerals and an anniversary to arrange for"

He felt the aggression and he appreciated it. It meant despite the façade and his want to shut down they were getting to him. Hot and Cold affected more things than either hot or cold could ever hope for. He hated playing bad cop especially as he really wasn’t. But it helped so he did. He could understand standing up for ones own environment. Helping ones community but in the end sad to say lycanthropes made each other disappear all the time. The best they could often hope for was a slip up indicating that foul play happened and with a lycanthrope or vampire they could exact a little vengeance even if they couldn’t get justice.
He knew however that no one had died hurt yes and for that alone they could force him into protective custody awaiting the result of medical and psychological evaluations to insure he was no threat to the public safety. The law was clear sadly it also was not clear as the main persons effected were lycanthrope themselves in the commission of a crime. It meant that as a citizen he could use means at his disposal to insure the domestic safety. It also meant that legally Matt could have just shot the three of them and called it a day. Sometimes the short loss would net a big gain. He knew who was currently dealing and for the most parts where. The problem was the supply was short. It meant the value would skyrocket so they would be dealing less to get more bang for their buck.
All those thoughts passed his mindseye as outwardly he gave dead shooters eyes to the bearman. It was important that he knew not only that Matt could shoot him but would if he didn’t play just the right amount of ball. They really needed him to get somewhere safe but he didn’t seem the sort to run from much. They couldn’t afford to station a blue and white outside the shop. But emotionally he couldn’t stomach sending the man away for doing the right though technically illegal thing. He also didn’t want the call to come back here and identify the mess the crime scene would be when the Silver Moons rode down on him and ate what they could and made an unidentifiable mess of what they couldn’t.
It seemed a no win hopefully Moni had an idea.

He listened to his brother and heard the mirth ad lightness in his voice.
“Short notice is not a factor. Usually. How short?”
He was glad things were obviously not anywhere near as tense as the last time they spoke and yet they very well could grow that route at the drop of a hat. He sighed thinking quickly.
“Within a week once I have official word. It will involve action against another lycanthrope group. And it will be messy though quiet.”
He wouldn’t offer details at this juncture even if he could. Though in truth he would need to directly have the blessings of his Regina. This was tantamount to bringing in a new power to the city and one of lions she would need to know this was for the best and most expedient. It would also give them a deniability if and when they needed to speak with the Master of the city about any and all of this.

She listened nodded " No your not but you do need somewhere safe a day that is not here. So make your arraignments well get them delivered bit you need to take a vacation to visit your family "
That part was said in a way that meant make your self scarce. He didn't deserve arrested and she groaned " if I got you a place not in custody but safe would you take it?"
She knew Samuel might not like this but they owed this man in a way. She'd make it work she also need to sort out what to tell matt. About where the witness would be.

He sighed and nodded " give me a bit to pack and make some provisions "
He went up stairs and knew one would fallow packing calmly but quickly 3 weeks or so worth of clothes and his yoga mat and boxing gloves. Laptop and hard drive. All neatly fit into three bags and brought down. He emailed his shop girl made the flower arrangements for the next few days labeled them and put them in the chiller.
She would come in grab the deliveries lock back up and leave deposit the checks at the bank. He was closed for a trip to Ireland. While he'd made his flowers he'd told him what he knew about who was dealing each street name and description and where they normally could be found. He actually was helping them a lot.
He also didn't let on that he'd smelled the lion on her but it made him just a bit more compliant since he'd reached out to them him self. " so shall we go?"

He paused considering what Mouse was asking and knew that in the end he wasn’t truly prepared. He was setting things up for the next few weeks. He would also need Mouse’s liquid capitol on loan of course to enact the portion he could without having to go through channels within the Pride. The other portion well he wasn’t so sure how things would shake out. Sadly as strong as he was and as powerful as he was he was still only officially the second in command. He was declaring war and there would be hell to pay.
What he couldn’t honestly say was what the outcome would be. He was stepping beyond his station and could either be declared rogue or worse. That was the part he hadn’t spoken to Monica about. The next few steps were far more dangerous because in the end he might very well be standing alone against the Silver Moon’s their allies Aero and potentially even his own Pride.
Yes, he’d trained the bulk of them and he saw to most of their needs when the time arose; but in the end he also trained them that what the Regina and by proxy the Rex demanded was law. Loyalty trust and above all else solidarity.
“I’ll call you tomorrow morning by ten.”
Ending the call he moved out of his office texting Abel and making his way across town to the one place he probably should have gone months ago.

Matt didn’t want to break character but as the big man all but said goodbye to the picture of some saint on the wall in his cooler. He reached out. “Hey man this isn’t so bad its just a vacation and by the time you get back no one will be strong out on the crap that’s causing all these problems.”

She smirked and waited they watched him lock up and she let matt take point as they got back to the car. The big man looking hilariously huge in Matt's back seat. She tried not to giggle cause this was bad but wariness was getting to her.
She gave Matt a run down of what she wanted to do when she came in the next day they needed to post a look out because eventually they would come and if the squad could arrest several drug dealers and criminals that happened to be infected then all the better they would be off the streets indefinitely.
They just needed a plausible to watch the shop.like the bear had seen stuff and called it in or the wolves were making threats cause he wouldn't let them peddle out of his shop something. Reaching her car she nodded" sleep well partner tomorrow we plan I will take him from here get him stashed the less people that know where the better "
Which was true if somthing happened to her they would never find erick but then Samuel would burn new York to the ground and she was aware of it.
