Samuel held his breath as he thought quickly. They meaning more than one. Knowing wolf tactics they were the scouting party. They were sniffing around to test out his defenses. They were planning on nipping at his heels and forcing something reckless. He leaned forward exhaling. Slicing into the last bit of the last of six of his eggs benedict. He calmly raised his eyes to meet Erick’s. He chewed as he met the man’s gaze.
"No. You will not. You will stay at the Mandarin and enjoy the guest services. You will not engage them at this point. They want that reaction. If you do they will they will have every provocation to bring down their entire pack and catch you alone. They want that this is as smart as they will ever be."
Without wavering his gaze he leaned towards Monica.
"Call your partner and have him do nothing don’t get involved. Let them sniff and attempt to provoke. We will repair whatever they get up to a few broken windows maybe a little urine."
Swallowing he sat down his fork and knife. Taking the napkin slowly he dabbed his lips. “My dear detective I think this does require an immediate response however we take them all in one fell swoop not piecemeal.” He flexed his fingers laying them flat on the table between them. “We have access to a few gangs that have gone into our business they are one of the many cut-outs we use. Abel has their information. The question is Erick ow badly do we want this to go. If we unleash our hounds against the Silver Moon’s there will be gang war unlike anything Brooklyn has seen since the eighties.”
This he laid out as bare as he could but in the end he was informing them that they could sole this and be completely hands clean. There wouldn’t be any blowback or they could wait it out. Waiting they would have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of making sure they exhausted every bit of rage against them.
"Well, choices folks. What should we enact? "

She sighed texting in a flurry of fingers" stand down Matt please stand down erick says he's insured and short of torching it he will rebuild don't be stupid. Let them play and trigger the alarm"
She hoped he'd not ignore it but calling him when they could hear the phone go off and have him would do him more harm then good. She called in suspect activity at the address knowing a car would be dispatched.
She face palmed" we wait I want them all no straglers"

It's was killing him to be non chalant but they had come to him for help and he was a right smart man so the Ursa would trust him

He took the sound of Monica’s fingers flying over the electronic keyboard as sign true enough that she was relaying a portion of the plan to her partner. He was capable in a firefight he’d seen that first hand. He didn’t however know how he’d handle being asked to not pursue a criminal he seemed far too much of a by the book officer considering his past in undercover.
" They do indeed. One of the best services in the city actually. No stragglers is a good policy."
Drawing out his phone he fired off a text to Abel. He should be miles away even as Samuel was sure that he was in fact just outside. He wouldn’t leave without insuring that Samuel and Monica was safe. He was as much a creature of habit as Samuel.
New York or more specifically Brooklyn would be heating up in less than a week. It would be a mess soon there after and until they staunched the flow of Vitamin V stopping every person who profited even remotely the streets would run red.

She sighed not hearing back putting the phone away. Pulling out a few bucks for tip she was ready to go. Part of her wanted to ride with Samuel but she needed to take her car. " Well off we go I suppose I need to unwind and actually sleep some before I'm due on shift"
She slid across his lap and streched some on her feet. She didn't want to say what else she needed in front of erick but Samuel would read between the lines

He pated himself on the back as he kept from groping Monica in front of Erick and caveman declaring she was his. It was a near herculean effort. He smiled despite the serious problem ahead of them all. Three battlefronts to win and not enough manpower. Yet not a battle amongst them he was willing to let lie. He watched as both Erick and his Detective tipped out the staff. He smiled at the bears honor and Monica’s insistence. The tab was paid via his corporate account as well as an automatic two-hundred dollar tip for the staff.
Erick didn’t know it but Monica did and her insistence in paying her way was another instance of endearment. She worked her magic on him every day in small ways. As they exited Erick caught the clues she’d given off and headed ahead. As he did so Samuel paused her a step nuzzling her neck as he did so. " I know you have to settle him in," Slipping his glove off he held her hand for the briefest of moments. “I will be waiting his is suite 3500 and ours is 4000. The passcode is Honorati Hospes.”
Allowing his warmth to embrace her he relinquished her sliding his glove back on in a practiced move born of years of the habit. Holding the door he nodded to Abel who was already moving to Samuels car there were a few things they’d discuss on the way to the hotel. He would fill him in on their next few steps and also put to motion the last few more thoroughly
Abel nodded in return sparing the rare smile for Monica. If no one was paying rapt attention it wouldn’t have been seen even watching him dead on it flitted across his face so quickly as to be almost imperceptible. The mind would rationalize it away as a tic.

Matthew caught the text just as he was preparing to slip form his car. Cursing under his breath he nearly blew his cover as he beat the hell out of the steering wheel in frustration. He sighed composed himself and simply started the car and drove away. He wasn’t a quarter of a block when he spotted a blue and white coming from both directions converging on the shop. It was great reaction time it really was but he knew it might be too little too late.
To keep from doing anything stupid he kept his head focused on collating data and building a case. He fired back a one word text. ‘Tomorrow…’

Monica paused listened and smiled and purred at the muzzles. Catching the smile and nodding not making anything of it that was abel for you." I will make it as brief as possible dear heart"
She went to the car and off they went to the hotel she was making small talk with him the whole way giving him what she knew about the spa and telling him it would be covered and to not worry over anything.

Erick nodded and when hever got to the hotel henjoys carried his things in thanked her and waited for her to leave before texting the sleuth and then setting spa time up.
For the next few hours he was massaged manicured steamed shampooed and styled. Returning to his room feeling boneless and tired. Managing to watch the first half of brother bear which was a guilty pleasure movie and passing out.

Planning and waiting was always the hardest part. He as always would much rather move in clean decisive strokes. Sadly the more fronts they attacked on the less he was able to do just that. It was now that they were facing, The Silver Moon Pack, Aero Transit and their lycanthrope associates, and potentially the Ombra Del Passato as a whole. Kasha hadn’t bene the most receptive because in a very loose but no less real way when he operated in the city at large he was representing them. So his actions had embroiled them in what in other circumstances would be a loosing proposition.
There was also the fact that in a vicarious way he was involving her former lover his brother. As such they had to move as circumspect and secretive as possible and yet for the relatively quick pace at which things were escalating secretive wouldn’t be as secret as he liked. As such the planning had to be spot on. It had to be razor sharp and as adaptive as water. So the planning and contingencies had to be immaculate. They were not and both he and Abel knew it. Push come to shove he knew he could operate out of Jersey or even Boston and be close enough to insure his investments were looked after but that would mean going rogue. It would lose his people the unsaid protection of the Ombra. That plan was one step form scorched earth and he wasn’t there yet. At least not this moment.
Getting to the Mandarin he checked in and went to the Penthouse suite arriving just ahead of Monica. Barely so as such he’d just removed his jacket as she came through the door. “You my Detective have impeccable timing.” He said as he went to her giving her barely enough time to close the door behind her. “He knew business needed tending so he asked as he kissed along her jawline, “Your prisoner settled?”

She'd been grateful erick had seemed so self sufficient and he wasn't under arrest just unoffical protective custody. She looked at him reveling in his warmth needing his kisses" he's fine he knows he might loose everything he's worked hard for but seems to be zenith about it..are all bears so zen?"
She knew lions were stubborn and often crazy wolves were their own case she didn't know to many Tigers leopards seemed loners. Groaning softly as the kisses kept up chuckling she faced him " feels like there's something other than the drugs issue bothering you ..are you risking you freedom in this?"
She gave him the don't even lie to me look.

He eased his grip allowing her space as well as stealing some for himself. He covered the distance he’d established by continuing to disrobe. Sitting on the bed as he removed his shoes he said "As a whole? Yes, they usually are accepting when they aren’t. Even the few manic individuals I’ve met have this grounded sense of action about them." He rubbed his chin and thought about that instead of the question she was really asking.
Sighing he really couldn’t avoid it so he ceased his motions resting his elbows on his knees as he flexed one muscle then another. It wasn’t a habitual thing but one he did fairly often as he tested his control.
"In truth I am unsure. The potential is definitely there. I reached out to my brother for assistance. Both financial as well as strength of arms. My Regina and he has a past. She is still mourning the death of her Rex here and the decisions that led up to it.” Even sharing this much truth, he was risking much with her far more than the legal ramifications of his business. Monica for all of her skill charm and pragmatism was not Pride. She was officially an outsider and while he could bed whoever he chose allowing her into the Pride even in passing could prove disastrous even if she had not been an officer of the law that was specifically empowered to police the community.
“Speaking with her was why I was late. She is a former student of mine and took my rather blood thirsty lessons to heart. So she very well could see my actions thus far as a betrayal and that would mean the protections I have a as titled member of the Pride would dissipate. I’d rather not think about how far things could fall and would rather call for a couples massage.” His face lit up with the temptation of such as there was a near nuru approximation that required the masseur to use each of the couple as a surrogate to skirt the laws about such esoteric and borderline erotic techniques.
