After her first day at work Jessie made her way back to the hotel in a cab. She was going to have to go shopping for black clothes that would look classy, sexy, and allow her to ride her bike to work. Cabs in the city could get expensive and she really needed to keep her money under control.
As the car drove through the city she looked around, watching the bright lights pass by the window, sending reflections off the glass. New York really could be beautiful, at least at night. She missed it. She missed the city that never slept. It was the reason she was such a night person. Because in New York, you could live from night to day the same way normal people live from day to night. She had been gone for a few years though and although she recognized the buildings and streets, the city had become a stranger to her. She was still as lost as she ever was.
She never really had a chance to be mad at being turned. She was going to die and it saved her life, no matter how unintentional it was. Still, since that day she spent all of her energy and mind space trying to find the one that turned her, and with no luck. She never actually sat back and thought of what effect it had on her life. She never really had to. Shifting sucked and hurt like hell but she loved to run free in her wolf form. She was always a free spirit and in truth, being a wolf suited her. It wasn't until tonight that she actually had to think about it. There were rules. There was politics. There were leaders and where there are leaders, there are wars. Where did fit in?
Jessie knew nothing about her kind that she didn't learn on her own or from a random wolf in passing. She never was part of a group or pack. She never had to deal with anything like that. She stood under the radar in her search. She never really tried to find out about anything beyond the man who turned her. Traveling across the states her trails led her to small towns not big cities. The politics were not spoken of the way they are in the cities. What if this Ulfric doesn't want her there? Should a man that just met her really have to defend her? It was so much to think about. She really had a lot to learn and hopes someone would take the time to teach her. More so though, she wished she would find her place and no longer be that lost pup.
