Phoebe had pulled off into a little rest area and stretched. She figured she was about four hours outside of New York. She couldn't believe that she was getting transferred to the main office. Her work was good but she didn't think that good. Her family had been proud of her. Didn't think it was good she was going farther North. There had been endless amounts of teasing. When she had called to check on her father. Shaking her head she let the thoughts go. Before picking up her phone and dialing the number she had gotten from Hiero. She was running through the checklist in her head. There was somethings she would need to do once she got into New York. The biggest one would be finding a place to live. She kinda hopped that the Lions all stayed together. She'd have to see once she was there. There was plenty else as well but that was work stuff and could wait until Monday. For now she was waiting for the Rex to answer the call.

Samuel and Monica has been busy building contingencies and lines of alternate attack into their strategy to wage a cold war with NYPD. The largest most extensive police force in the world.
Most would assume the undertaking foolish or doomed or foolish and doomed. They knew otherwise. Years of infiltration and service combined as it were they were most likely the only people able to spearhead such an undertaking with any chance of success. Sadly their plans needed even more altering as the Lukoi acted as rashly as expected. Not that they were wrong in their aims merely more visceral and immediate than preferred. They as such were pausing their assault as the need to remove the Pride members from the area took precedence.
As Ariel and Jezebel were well within their rights and he believed them capable of avenging effeciently. He was however of a mind to remove the potential fallout from affecting the local pride members. Six months ought to do it by his count.
So it was with no surprise that the line set aside for such things rang through the routed phone tree and bounced signals. Answering he said, “Yes how can I help?” Even with all of the security in place names were a liability and he wouldn’t use any.

Phoebe found it odd but she knew her father and brothers often used such tactics. She frowned wondering what exactly was going on and decided it might be a good idea to prepare herself before actually getting there. Pushing it aside for now she spoke "Yes I was told to call I'm not sure if you remember but we met in October in Chicago." That should tell him who it was at least give him an idea "I need to set up a meeting when it's convenient my job is transferring me to New York and I was told that if I need help getting settled you'd be the one to contact." That should tell him what he needed to know with out giving any major information to anyone that might be listening. Phoebe nibbled her lip wondering if she should call Hiero to find out if he knew what was going on. Shaking her head she would make sure she was loaded and ready for just about anything.

Hearing the sound of cars in her background he took it to mean she was either driving or near an expressway based on the volume. Driving was a good choice versus flying. He approved as it obviated certain security protocols. And the effects of being pressed in with the width and breadth of other humanity on commercial flights.
Gauging arrival time and need for rest he did a quick calculation. "I’m taking it you are close to the city." He didn’t wish to tax her overly."As such lets meet at the Fraunces Tavern for lunch tomorrow."
It should give her time to get settled relaxed and tucked in at a nearby hotel so it’d make tthongs easier getting her settled as part of the Pride.

Phoebe gauged driving time and did a quick calculation in her mind. "Yes about four hours out. That sounds wonderful I appreciate you taking time out to help me and I'll see you tomorrow. Have a safe evening. " She figured that she could find a local hotel and get checked in have some dinner and get the lay of the land so to speak. Yes this would work well it would also give her time to make sure she was well armed. If she was walking into a trick situation.

“I look forward to meeting you again. I’ll inform our friend in Chicago of your arrival.” Samuel said ending the call and inmediately made arrangements. Reaching out to a Eliachem, Abel and Monica notifying them of the lionesses arrival.
New lions could be an issue as most came with an idea as to what New York was and often missed what it could be. Travel usually placing them on edge. Unlike most cities New York has five smaller... well four for now, Prides all beholden to one united Pride. Much as the Abstract was a unified front. Each Rex and Regina holding a leadership role while maintaining their own boroughs pride. Separated by distance and yet all the safer for it.
He after completing his calls through on his over coat leaving the office. Another short day and chance to see the twins as he moved further and further from the day to day of running the Exaudas more less than legal aspects. He chuckled to himself retirement suited him some, even as it was at this stage only partial.
