A date. That was the last thing Ghost needed to be doing right now. It was a potential complication. He didn’t need complications, but it was his idea to begin with. He had spent the last few days racking his brain, trying to figure out what possessed to do something so careless. The only satisfying answer he could come up with was that he wanted to learn. Celestra was able to do something that always seemed to be beyond his reach. She was living a double life. Ghost needed to learn how to do that. It could only increase his chances of survival.
By day, everybody saw Celestra Genovese. She was a powerhouse of a woman who was respected, well-known, and even feared within the right circles. Definitely somebody to pay attention to, but not someone who jumps out as a real, immediate threat. At night, she becomes something else. Someone else. She is Digital_Dagger, one of the most skilled hackers around. There are rumors that she was a big part of one of the biggest cyber crimes in the history of hacking. She was able to walk in both worlds, keeping them perfectly separated. Ghost needed to be around her. To learn how she was able to do it. He was frustrated by the fact that he didn’t know how. It was something that would have been taught to him had he had a proper “werewolf upbringing”. But he didn’t. He’s been trying to learn the little things on his own wherever he could.
Ghost decided the worst part of the idea was picking her up. He had to drive all the way over to Manhattan to get to her place. It was always bad enough having to go into Manhattan, but she lived in some parts of Manhattan people like Ghost don’t normally go to. Thankfully for him, the police must have been busy with something else that day. He was able to get to her place without getting pulled over every couple of blocks to ask if he was lost. He hated most cops on general principle, but he could honestly say New York cops were a special brand of asshole. At least they’re not as bad as LA.
He pulled his bike up to the curb before killing the engine. He didn’t look too much different from what he usually does. His jeans were a bit more faded with a few more rips and tears. He was wearing a brand-new black T-shirt that he bought a pack of six special for the occasion. His hair was still tied back into a ponytail high on his head, with his shaved scalp prominently displayed. The black vest he wore was exchanged for a black leather jacket instead with the addition of a pair of aviator sunglasses. The biggest thing he did was trim his beard to something a bit more presentable. He did want to look nice after all, but he still wanted to be him.
Stepping off his bike, he uses his phone to send a text to Celestra to see if she wanted him to go to the front door or if she was coming out to him. He didn’t want to scare her bodyguards. That would end well for them. And knowing how hard it is to find good security, he thought it was better to play it safe.

A date? Why did she agree to a date? She doesn't date. It can only lead to problems in her line of work... well lines of work. Still, when she saw that was what he was asking, she couldn't seem to find it in herself to say no. Maybe it was because he intrigued her so much. When she looked him up it was obvious the man wasn't human. The information she found on him was from a long time back and would make him way older then he looked. Maybe it was her curiosity that was allowing her to make such a risky decision. She was intrigued by who he was. She was intrigued by what he was. She was intrigued by how he was. She never met anyone like him. Sure she knew plenty of bikers in her past but something about him was just... different.
It took a lot to set the date up on her end. She of course had her body guards, who were royal pains in her rear when it came to her wanting to do anything on her own. "I don't care Isaac, you will stay back. If you insist on keeping an eye on me, head down to C.I. after I leave. Give me at least twenty minutes to head out before you go. Stay in the area and just look for trouble but I will not have you following me like a hawk. I deserve this. All I am asking is for a small bit of time for myself." Isaac nodded firmly but both the look on his face and the huff he let out before turning to leave the room so she could get dressed told her he was far from happy about it. It was amazing she was able to keep her identity, well her hacker identity, a secret from everyone with how little time she had to herself.
She lived in the Upper east side. A brownstone. To say a biker wouldn't really be seen in the area was very true, but there was the occasional sightings, usually friends of hers. Anyone that saw him would assume he was there for her, and they would be right.
She didn't know what to wear. She had been so used to dressing for business lately that she almost forgot what it was like to dress casually. Deciding to have some fun she pulled an old chest out of her closet and opened it. A smirk touched her lips as she pulled out a black Misfits t-shirt, long sleeve but short to bare her mid-drift, a tight pair of black second skin leather look pants with a skeleton design and her NBC chunky Mary Jane heels. It took her about twenty minutes to get ready, never being one for too much make up. She didn't really need it.
When she got his text she smiled and replied to him quickly, letting him know she was on her way out. Last thing she needed was to have Isaac grilling him. She headed out of her room and grabbed her purse and keys before heading out the door. "I'm leaving. Remember what I said." She spoke out to Isaac who was currently in her kitchen. She jetted out the door before he could respond. She made her way down the stairs and out the front door, looking to Dante with a smile. "Ready? We need to go before my body guard starts stalking me again."

He had to smirk at the response to the text. For some reason, he found the entire situation cute. It was like she was sneaking out of her house before daddy found out the big, bad biker was taking her somewhere. His entire teenage years wrapped up into one moment. Dante wasn't the kind of guy most fathers wanted even looking at their daughters. It was one of the strangest things she was proud of. Even before he got to the military, he knew what it felt like to be shot at. Those were some fun nights.
Losing himself to his thoughts for a few moments, his head raises slowly when he sees her coming out of the brownstone. The neighborhood made him uncomfortable, but what he saw coming towards him made it all worth it. It was everything he could do to keep his mouth from dropping open. She was beautiful beyond words. Stepping away from his bike, he meets her part way, removing his sunglasses to let his eyes just move over her. He even went so far as to circle around her. He had to see the full package. Unable to resist, he allowed his nostrils to flare slightly to breathe her scent in. He was in trouble.
Smiling, he gently takes her hand as he walks back to the bike. "I know I'm supposed to bring flowers or something, but I figured I would just win you some overpriced stuffed animanal or something." His voice was playful, but he was also being truthful. Plus, with her being on the back of his bike, flowers wouldn't last very long. He just wanted to show her that he was at least trying to take things seriously. It was important to make sure a woman feels important and valued. He read that in Cosmo.
He steps back onto his bike, getting settled once again. Once he felt she was secure behind him, he took off from the brownstone like he was stealing something. It was mostly for her benefit, hoping to give her that thrill of running away from home. After a few blocks, he slowed down to something a bit more respectable since he still really doesn't want to deal with the cops. They had a long enough drive back to Brooklyn. They didn't need to any extra interruptions. Besides, he had a feeling he would have plenty of those from her bodyguards throughout the evening.
Dante was eventually able to get them safely out to Coney Island without incident. That was a plus. But this was going to be the real test. Coney Island was a very popular tourist attraction. It was even popular with the locals. A lot of people came and went throughout the day and night on a regular basis. And Dante knew enough about the community to know he is something they refer to as a rogue. On some levels, he could understand and even respect the practice. Alphas have to protect their territories, and there was some real shady motherfuckers lurking around. On the other hand, there were some so-called alphas that had to be real assholes about everything. It was always impossible to tell what he was walking into.
Suppressing his own concerns, he smiles softly to Celestra. "I used to live to come here whenever I was in town, but that was a really long time ago. I've taken a lot of violent shots of the head since then. You might have to show me around a bit. But don't worry. I'm more than happy to spoil you for your efforts."

That's exactly what it felt like, and it was annoying as hell to her. It was also fun though. For a moment, she felt like a teenager again. Still, she was a grown woman, and already married and divorced, she shouldn't have to sneak around. Still, she did. Image to uphold and all that, not to mention the families enemies. She was always going to be a major target when it came to them.
She smiled to him when he moved toward her, her eyes watching him as he circled around her. She smiled even more when he seemed to enjoy what he was seeing. She herself enjoyed the view as well. He was beyond easy on the eyes. Something about his tattoo's and bad boy vibe on a face that looked like he could be on a billboard somewhere in his underwear really got to her. She licked her lips and smirked. "Like the outfit?"
Hand taken she moved with him to his bike and hopped on the back. She wrapped her arms around his waist tightly, pressing her cheek to the leather at his back, happy when he peeled out so quickly. Isaac was going to be pissed. She knew he had no intentions on listening to her. Luckily, he was busy eating when she left and he did not like to waste food. Ever.
The ride to Coney Island was awesome. She didn't realize how much she missed being on the back of a bike until they were going through the Brooklyn Battery tunnel. She always hated the tunnel growing up. Always scared it was going to leak and water was going to come in and she was going to drowned, like that really bad Sylvester Stallone movie. The only time she didn't feel that fear was when she was on a bike. It was like there was something so freeing and exciting about being on a bike that it made all of your fears just disappear.
Celestra didn't know much about his world but she knew enough about her own to have her own concerns. Brooklyn was well known for it's mafia dealings and her family was well known in her favorite borough. That also meant she was well known. Brooklyn held many a rival, but luckily, not many hung out in places like Coney Island. Not often anyway. So, she pushed her worries aside, for now. Besides, she was sure Isaac was going to show up with probably the rest of the team because she took off the way she did. Best they have fun while they can.
Hearing him she nodded and laughed. "Well, I will try. After the renovations, I don't really know my way around myself. Luckily the Cyclone and the Wonder Wheel are still here." She pointed to the roller coaster and then the huge ferris wheel. "So, thats a plus." She got off the bike and moved with him toward the board walk. "And Nathan's. Can't be in Coney Island and not get Nathans hot dogs." She laughed softly.

It was hard to say that he liked her outfit. The darker side of him wanted nothing more than to rip it off right there to see what she was hiding under everything. Fortunately, he was well trained to suppress his urges, even if some of his thoughts could be seen in his eyes. They took on a slightly more feral quality for the briefest of moments. "I love it. I'd say you were beautiful, but that doesn't seem to cut it. And I'm not good enough with words to find the right one."
He had no doubt in his mind that her security team would be right behind them. He would have been the same way if he was in their position. She was a precious commodity. She was also a very important part of the machine. Without her, the machine would break down completely. The city would eventually find a replacement, but things would never be quite the same. Dante wouldn't want that hanging over his head if he was in charge of her safety. He would be doing everything in his power to make sure she didn't even break a fingernail.
Going through the tunnel never really bothered him so much, but maybe that was because he actually likes that really bad Sylvester Stallone movie. Then again, he likes most of Stallone movies. Except for two. The one where he is a cop with his mom, and Oscar. Those movies need to stop existing. Immediately. But even Dante had to admit. There was just something about cruising down the highway with the arms of a beautiful woman wrapped around his waist that made him feel like maybe there was still something left worth living for. Moments like these give a man a reason to keep fighting.
Dante's concerns were nothing unusual for him. He felt like he has lived his entire life looking over his shoulder. Most of it was because of something his father used to always tell him. There's always someone better waiting around the corner. Dante never really bought into it until he accidentally infected Jessie. He's been living off the grid ever since just in case. He had finally found someone better to worry about. The US government. Celestra didn't need to worry about much though. Dante had his Desert Eagles under his jacket, and he could pick up on things way before her security team can.
A groan of pure, animal desires escapes his lips as soon as she mentions Nathan's. "I haven't had a real dog in… Way too long." He was about to say at least 20 years, but he caught himself, not knowing how she would react to that. He was only 53 really, but he didn't look more than 28. If that. He smiles to her sheepishly, shaking his head as he moves to place his hand against the small of her back while they walk. "Let's start with the Cyclone. Play a few games after that, grab some food. Then we can go on the Wheel before I take you home. Sound like a plan?"

His compliment of course brought a smile on her lips. She had a feeling she was going to be doing plenty of smiling throughout the night. "Thank you." She said softly and lightly ran her teeth over her lower minute a moment as she accepted the compliment.
She understood why they made sure she was so guarded but it didn't mean that she had to like it, because she didn't. She knew how to take care of herself and she was a free spirit, her time as an Ol' lady proved that, and she didn't like being watched and having to be careful. Sometimes she just wanted to ride on the back of a bike doing eighty with her arms outstretched and her head back and just enjoy the rush. Unfortunately she chose her path and now she had to deal with the consequences of that choice, but she would have fun every now and then.
She liked a lot of action movies, especially Stallone, she just didn't like that particular one. She also didn't fully watch the movie, maybe because it scared the crap out of her. Still, she enjoyed being on the back of his bike, tunnel or not.
She expected Dante to be on point and have his senses up. She was still trying to figure out what he was, and she had no doubt he was strapped, since she would feel them when she had her arms around him. She knew she was safe with him, which was reassuring.
Hearing him she laughed softly when she heard him grown. When he laid out the plans for the night she smiled. "I haven't rode the Cyclone in years. I would love that. Lets go!" With that she took his hand and playfully began to drag him toward the way too old for its own good roller coaster.

That was his plan. She was absolutely gorgeous without it, but her smile turned her into something truly remarkable. It was something that Dante was very unfamiliar with. Celestra's smile made him feel like everything was okay. She made him feel like he could be himself because she would take care of everything he couldn't. It was a nice feeling that he was hoping could grow.
She wasn't the only one dealing with the consequences of the path she chose. It was probably the biggest reason that Dante found her so easy to talk to. They were both prisoners to the lives they chose. Dante may not have to deal with the level of scrutiny that she did on a daily basis, but he knew what it was like to not be able to do things he wanted. He used to be a very carefree and laid-back person. Becoming infected changed everything for him. Some days, he didn't even recognize the man staring back at him in the mirror.
Dante was always on point. She could rest assure about that. When he worked in Project Phantasm, that was his usual position on missions. He prefers to work alone most of the time, but he was the point man for many operations. It was partly due to his ability to soak up bullets, but his senses gave him an edge that most people couldn't imagine. His reliance on guns was seen as a weakness by some people, but not Dante. He was perfectly capable of fighting with his hands, having studied several different forms of martial arts. But the supernatural community especially have a habit of underestimating the danger a well-placed shot represented. Dante used that to his advantage like everything else.
Laughing softly, he stumbles a bit as he follows along behind her. It had been a long time since he had done anything like this. He wasn't celibate by any stretch, but it was mostly just random hookups. Having somebody he actually enjoys spending time with was both exciting and frightening.
He looks up at the roller coaster once they reach the area, his steps slowing down as they get closer. "This thing looks like a death trap. Are you sure it's safe? This thing looks older than me!" It was one of his first real slips. His excitement got the better of him, and before he could catch what he said, he was already saying it. More than that, he didn't even realize saying it. Hinting that he wasn't exactly everything he appeared to be.

She didn't think she was gorgeous but she did think he was. He already had her attention with the way he looked when she first met him, all scruffy with his long beard. With his beard trimmed she was able to see more of his face and she truly appreciated that. She really liked his eyes too. It was strange for her. Before she got married she was a wild girl, which was how she ended up in the club in the first place. After she got divorced she just focused on the family business and decided dating was not in the cards. With the guards on her all the time and the fear her name put into some, it wasn't worth it. Besides, until she met him she hadn't found a guy she was interested in. She has a type.
They were very different people, and creatures, but at the same time they were the same in a lot of ways. Perhaps that was why they were drawn to each other. Well that and the fact they both had curiosity regarding the other, and perhaps wanted to get close for other reasons beyond the attraction they had for one another.
She was still trying to find out about Project Phantasm. She found its existence but she had yet yo be able to break into those files. In all of her life, it was the most complex task she had ever had, and it was one she was doing solely to sate her curiosity. Once she wanted to know about something she did everything she could to find out about it. Now, meeting him, she was even more curious about what made him tick and she wanted to know about this task force that the government is trying to hard to hide the existence of.
She giggled when he stumbled. "Oops, sorry." She smiled to him and continued to move with him toward the coaster and dragged him to stand on the line when she felt him slowing down, his words making her laugh and arch a brow at the same time. "I would hope so. Its almost a hundred years old." She laughed once more. "I mean, look" she pointed to the newer pieces that were added to the old wooden structure "they have re-secured it a few times." She took the slip about his age and filed it for later conversation. For now, she was trying not to ruin the mood and keep the carefree thing they had going. She was sure things would become more... adult... before the night was over.

And that is what made her so mesmerizing to him. She was beauty personified, and she had no idea. She had his attention the first time he heard her voice over the phone. When he finally saw her face to face, she took his breath away. Dante thought he had everything figured out. Things like romance and happiness just wasn't an option for him. His life was just too dangerous. Being a contract killer was dangerous enough without the added complications of having a private life. Never mind the fact that he was also a very powerful werewolf. He couldn't understand why, but Celestra made him feel like she could handle it. At least the hitman part. He still wasn't sure what will happen when she finds out what he really is. He was almost afraid to find out.
It was definitely more than just a physical attraction for him. It certainly started off that way for him, but it was so far beyond that now. She was beautiful. There was no denying that. She was also intelligent and very mysterious. Knowing what he does about her, he felt like she might be one of the only people who could understand what he was going to. Especially with the lifestyles they were both forced to live.
Project Phantasm was going to be difficult for her to break into, but if she was able to, she would know more about Dante than even he knows about himself. There was video of his training exercises. She would be able to see the physical, mental, and emotional torture he endured to learn the skills he has today. She would also find out just how much of a monster he is. Somewhere, there was footage of one of his assignments. Where he shifted and proceeded to rip apart a camp full of civilian refugees. All because his target was hiding among them. Dante still hasn't forgiven himself for that night. Nobody was safe from him. He killed men, women, and children. It was the kind of stain that doesn't come clean.
He smiles to her, using the stumble has an excuse to wrap his arms around her playfully. Giving her a brief hug, he starts walking toward the coaster to give the tickets to the operator. "Well, as long as they have resecured things a few times in 100 years. I think we should be good." There was something playfully mischievous to his eyes as he steps into one of the cars before turning to offer his to her. He didn't know what kind of work…adult…things she had in mind, but he was game for whatever she might throw at him.

She never thought of herself as ugly just.. normal. Nothing special. Let's face it. She lived in New York City. There were model looking type chicks on every street. Chicks made it common place to get manicures and pedicures and facials weekly. You could hardly get an appointment to get a haircut without having to wait at least a week or more every single time. Celestra started booking her appointments months in advance, even with her family name to get her on top of the list.
She could see a lot of reasons to stick around Dante, not that she was making plans for anything like that. She didn't plan things like that. Still, she liked being around him, liked looking at him, liked talking to him. She liked being around someone that might at least understand part of her life and the way she had to live. At the very least, maybe she made a new friend, and business partner.
She was sure after tonight she was going to do plenty of research to see if she could find out more about her mysterious, and sexy, date. She considered finding out about the project a challenge. One she planned on overcoming. The only hesitation she had in looking into things was having any of the information she did find get into the wrong hands. Maybe she should think it all through before she moves ahead.
She laughed when his arms wrapped around her and she returned the hug before moving from the line after they purchased their tickets to the coaster. Hearing him she laughed as she watched him get onto the car. She got in after him to sit by his side. Who was she kidding, this thing was a death trap. She knew it. Everyone who rode it knew it. It was like part of the thrill was surviving the damn thing. She didn't say anything to him though. As far as adult things goes, although she could think of plenty of fun was, she meant more along the lines of having to be watched by annoying body guards.

While she could easily be one, Dante really never went for the traditional model looking chicks. Too skinny. Not enough curves. Nothing to grab onto. That's what was so appealing to him about Celestra. She could easily be a model in his opinion, but she didn't have the traditional look. She had curves for days, and her collection of tattoos definitely made her stand out. Dante couldn't trust a person without some ink. It was one of his firm rules.
He had just as many reasons to stick around Celestra, but he wasn't making any kind of plans beyond that. He just didn't think it was right to make plans. His plans were more fluid and able to adapt on the fly. A plan that can't be changed isn't really much of a plan. He just knew that he had found himself someone he could trust and depend on. That alone was enough for him. If anything more, business or romantic wise, came from the very time together, that would simply be a very pleasant bonus.
Dante would probably encourage her to try to find out more about the project. He's had questions of his own for years that have never been able to be answered. She was right though. That information could prove very dangerous for her to have. It wasn't just him in the project. There were rumors that they had recruited several dozen supernaturals to take part. Most of it was voluntary, if being completely blind to what was really going on would be considered voluntary. Not everyone voluntarily agreed to participate. Some had to be forced.
Settling into the rickety car, he gives her a look before shaking his head with a laugh. This thing was terrifying, and they haven't even left the starting point. He had to be careful with his grip on the safety bar, already feeling he could easily rip the thing off. This was going to be fun. Smiling to her playfully, he looks into her eyes. "If I die on this thing, I just want you to know… Getting pizza with you? Probably the best night I've had in a very long time."

She highly doubted she could be a model, unless it was some kind of pin up or motorcycle model. She was proud of the fact she wasn't a normal super skinny model type. She liked her curves. She was happy he seemed to appreciate them too. She did like to dress up like a pin up though. The Rockabilly style was really her thing.
She was going to enjoy getting to know him. Getting to know everything about him. She had already put trust in him by doing the work she had for him and meeting him in person. She didn't do work for many and she didn't mean any.
Once she built up enough courage to, and maybe got a little closer, she would talk to Dante about everything and see his opinion on her looking further into it. Her main thing now was making sure she didn't bring him any issue. She didn't know if people were looking for him or worse, if he would get into any trouble for the things he had done.
He really did need to be careful. The safety bar was hardly actually safe. It didnt really hold you in. The ride depended fully on pressure to keep you inside of it. She looked to him and she heard his words. She giggled and bit her lip but his words sounded sincere and that made a shiver run through her. Just then the ride began to start its very loud and bumpy trench up the hill.

She had a way of underestimating herself. It was a strange thing for Dante. He was the opposite. Some people would even consider him arrogant. He didn't see it that way. He was simply confident in his own abilities. If he said he was the best, it's because nobody has been able to prove otherwise yet. He didn't think he was God's gift to everything. But if she starts dressing up in either of those styles, Dante was going to be doing everything he can to ravage her.
If the topic of his past ever came up as part of a conversation, he had already made up his mind to hide anything from her. He just didn't see the point of trying to lie to her. He had a feeling that she always finds out everything anyway. She seems like the type of woman to get to the truth no matter what. It was really kind of sexy to him. But he was sure there were people looking for him. At the very least they were looking for information on Project Phantasm. His biggest concern was what those people wanted to do with the information.
Feeling the roller coaster beginning to move, he cringes visibly at the noise, moving his hands to cover his ears with visible discomfort on his face that he was trying desperately to hide. He settles after a moment, taking a deep breath before smiling to her softly. The ride was already scaring the hell out of him, but looking at her made him want to take the risk.

She didn't have an issue believing he was as good as he thought he was and she didn't see him as arrogant. Then again, he never really showed any of it to her, she had no idea how he was around others. As for her style, he would see it sooner or later. Most of her casual clothing was in those styles.
She did tend to find out everything eventually one way or another. Celestra tended to pay attention to details and can tell when someone is lying to her pretty quickly. She was actually pretty proud of that fact. She was also a pretty good liar when she needed to be, but she hated doing it. They used to tell her she should be an actress, with how many times she had to lie to get one of the brothers out of trouble. Hopefully they would end up having that talk and everything can be put out there. But not tonight.
She looked to him when the ride started to move and she noticed his reaction. She didn't think about the noise bothering him in that way. She moved closer to him, eventually she would be pinned to him anyway, and leaned against him to try and calm him. She reached up and took one of his hands in hers, lacing her fingers with his as she smiled softly to him. When they reached the top she raised her arms up over her head, bringing his with hers, and closed her eyes as she felt it going over for the big dip. As the roller coaster moved down the dip and slipped into the many twists and turns of the coaster she laughed and screamed.

It depended on the person for him, like so many other things in his life. Dante's behavior was dictated by the situation he was confronted with. Celestra made him feel safe, comfortable. He didn't feel any need to be anything goes. Other people, however, tended to bring out a different side of his attitude. Dante was the kind of person that people either respected or wanted to see die a very slow, torturous death. There really wasn't much of a middle ground.
Dante was kind of the opposite as far as finding everything out eventually. There was a lot of blank spots in his memory, and the things he does remember aren't very pleasant. While he was a stickler for details and was usually a fairly good judge of character, he was an even better liar. It just came naturally to him. Something that made him feel very uncomfortable.
