That was exactly his philosophy as well. In his line of…work…a single detail could change the entire operation. Just one mistake could be the difference between success and painful failure, even death. The details were the biggest things that separated the professionals from the amateurs.
It was that very fact that was making her so intriguing to him. With the level of skill she has demonstrated in her past work together, he had no doubt that the chances were pretty high that she knew more about him than even he did. She had access to things he simply had no knowledge of. Knowing she wasn't heading for the hills made him feel like he had found someone he could at least consider a friend. Something he hasn't had for many, many years.
His word was the only thing he truly had left. Dante felt as if he had already sold his soul. His family and friends all thought he has been dead since the 80s. He had sacrificed any morals he may have had to become the professional he is today. Cringing at her reaction, he laughs softly with a shake of his head. "Was it that bad? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude." His eyes drifted to the envelope when she used his new alias, laughing even more. "CJ. That's going to take some getting used to."

It would seem they had a hell of a lot in common then, especially in their work strategies.
She did know a lot about him. A lot of it classified information. She also had knowledge of what they had done to him. She did not like what she found. Considering him a friend was something she wanted to do, as she figured he could use one and, well, so could she.
She laughed when she heard him and shook her head. "Not bad, no." She then canted her head to the side a bit. "CJ suits you though. Dante does as well, but I like CJ." She smiled. "And CJ, you never actually answered my question."

It most definitely seems that way. His mind was already working to find ways that the two of them could work together more. Simply for the fact that Dante couldn't remember the last time he got the privilege of consistently working with another professional.
The classified information wouldn't have left much mystery to him. The things that were done to him for the sake of "education" was the very reason he stayed out of the community. He was taught ways of controlling the beast inside him with methods that even the most sadistic Ulfric would have found disturbing. And it didn't stop. He still wears the scars. But she was right. He could definitely use a friend.
Shaking his head, he laughs softly. "It's going to take some getting used to. I've had some pretty bad ones. I think I can use to CJ." He pauses briefly, rolling his eyes when she catches him. "I was hoping I could slip past without having to answer that. But yes, Celestra. I was asking you out on a date of some sort."

She was sure there would be plenty of opportunities that presented themselves for them to work together. He made a good ally. She figured that much out almost instantly when she realized who it was that was hiring her.
Seeing the man in front of her, and knowing what she knew, he would also make a good friend. Or maybe it was her that needed to be a good friend for him.
She laughed once more and nodded. "Well, I will remember to call you CJ as much as possible so you do, although I do like Dante as well." She then smiled and nodded softly. "I wouldn't mind a date of some sort." She laughed playfully. "As long as you do not mind my... entourage." She gestured to the security that watched her from outside.

The two of them could make for a very powerful combination. It was one of the things that he missed the most about his government work. He used to have someone talking in his ear, giving him information while he progressed through his assignments. It was nice not feeling alone. At least until it was necessary for him to shift.
He was a loyal person. Something that might seem surprising for a person that did his kind of work, but it was the truth. He has rules, and he does not break them for anything. They may not make sense to the average person, but it's what works for him. Having a friend like her would allow him to step even further away from the person he used to be. One step closer to being alive.
He smiles softly, nodding his appreciation to her using his alias to help them get used to it. His smile brightens even more hearing that she wanted to go out with him again. Looking around at her gesture, he glances across the street as well before shrugging his shoulders playfully. "I don't mind. Could be kinky."

The last time she was able to be the intel for a job was back in two thousand and fifteen. She really enjoyed it. It made her feel like she held the true power.
She knew he was loyal, it was in his blood. He was once a member of the MC. Loyalty is a requirement. And he was a soldier. There was no way the man could be anything but. She knew she could trust him because he had the ability to get her into a lot of trouble a few times already and never had, even just knowing how to contact her.
She laughed softly. "Meh, not my kind of kink. Unfortunately, I do have to be somewhere but" she slipped out of the booth and looked to him, placing her hands on the table. "You have my number, CJ, you use it and let me know about that date. I will contact you when I find the information you want." She winked to him and grabbed her bag, swinging it over her shoulder. "Nice to meet you. See you soon." With that she turned on her heels and made her way out for the night.

It was an idea that could definitely be very interesting. He never had a female handler before. It was usually some middle-aged white guy just counting down the days until his retirement. Or worse, some new age hipster asshole who just wanted to get promoted without having to do the actual work to get it. Always spouting inspirational garbage and death threats in the same breath. He hated those guys so much.
There was no reason for him to get her into any kind of trouble. He wasn't someone that enjoyed the suffering of others. Until it was called for. Once someone had crossed him, Dante took great, immense pleasure in destroying their worlds. He was vindictive like that. Celestra had only become someone he trusted more. Never less.
He grins to her playfully before trying to hide the disappointment when she announced she had to leave. His eyes follow her every movement before nodding to her. "I most certainly will. I look forward to seeing you again." He waited until he was sure she left before moving back to the counter to purchase a pizza to take home with him. It was going to be another long night.
(End)
